Anybody ever been to one of these - think the next one is 30th March?

For £39 it looks good value. Any info?

Did one of the 4 person driver training days about 3 weeks ago. Very good and recommended.

The day you are suggesting is cheap, but if there are 24 attendees, I can't imagine you'll get much time in your car - the activity area will only accommodate 4-6 cars at a tine safely.

It,s split into 2 and is a fun day out, maybe less so if it,s to cold.
You get more chance to go in other peoples car,s but i guess most cars will be lotus.

Is this a concrete track like Brunters?

A bit hard on the old tyres if it is?

You'll get soooooooooooooooo much more out of a four person day...... yes

It's on part of North Weald airfield and probably is hard on the tyres, but way to go!! driving

I'm down for a '2 person' day on the 29th which I really looking forward to smile

Speaking with people who've been on them before the 'activity' days are 'fun' days but the driver instruction comes on the 2/4 person days.

Walshy quickly understands where your at and what he needs to teach you and takes it from there, I've a mate with over 1000 'ring' laps to his name in the last few years and he still books in with Andy and comes away excited and quicker every time!

+1. Definitely do a Walshy day, I had on track tuition with him a year or so ago and he was brilliant. Got some great no nonsense help and I could actually feel the difference in the car, I can still remember the feeling as the penny dropped on what he was saying and I completely nailed a tricky series of corners, superb!

Technical side of learning aside, you'll have a riot, he's a great laugh. you 'll be booking your next lesson before you leave.

I seem to remember somebody posting recently about carlimits and saying it was tarmac so not quite so hard on the tyres! I dare say someone will be along to confirm shortly.

Whilst here do people take out track day insurance for the carlimits days?

Done several any moons ago when A first started but i believe the recipe is the same. But i am talking about the 4 person days and thats what i would advise rather than the activity day. In fact i do a day like this with any new car i get... Over the course of ownership you will get so many millions more percent out of it having done so.

i would do the same as well.....

It is a masterclass in highspeed control. And, yes, do budget for tyres. Unless your skill level is very high or you drive an elise derivative, you will give them a proper workout.

But you will finish the day a better driver...well, at least, on the first proper 4-person d

So the best time to do it would be when your tyres are just about fooked and go along and finish them offbiggrin

Bearing in mind that they still need to be legal for the drive home!

It was said tongue in cheek lol, but I did read on the carlimits site that you can arrange to have a mobile tyre company come and do them at the end of the day.smile
