Avon ZZR.. any good for our cars?

Just been looking at these... they seem to get good reviews... the Federal 595RSR i have on at the moment are good and can perform lap after lap but do not grippy enough for time attack..

Another option is the Hankook Z214.. which they are allowing in the street legal category.. the only problem with these is.. they are not really road legal... and I would therefore like to avoid going down that route if i can find a decent alternative for performance...

Any other recomendations?.. i am looking for a super sticky semi slick, thats not going to be too expensive..

Hmm.. it seem they do not do a ZZR for the Noble... only a ZZ3...has anybody got any experience of the ZZ3?

Got them on the Z4M, fine tyre with progressive break away.

I'm considering the ZZ3's for winter tyres, going to use Federal RSRs for summer

Ive been running ZZ3's for a couple years on my nob (just on the rear) and they seem fine. Price is also good just replaced all four courners for £580 all in!

Yes - sorry I didn't make them clear.
I've got Flaken F452's on the front of the Z4M (because I couldn't source the right size ZZ3s) and all 4 corners of the Noble and very impressed with them as well. They should have better aquaplane stability than the ZZ3s due to the two central groves, but the compound seems very similar in it's breakaway properties.

So how do the F452's perform on the Noble through winter months and dry days? They are very cheap and could be a good winter tyre. Under £400 a set.

Excellent for me, cope with mud, sub-zero temps and slippery roads very well. I also suspect they are a fine summer tyre as well.

To note is they have solved the wheel-spin-in-third-full-throttle problem the corsa's had unless they were well warmed up, so seem to be very sticky.

not sure i agree, I had the falkens on my audi and they didn't perform very well, understeer was worse and had less confidence in the car because of that, worse than the worn michelins that were just removed. yes different cars etc etc but id never buy them for the noble.

I've got the Falkens on the back of a Smart Roadster Brabus (yes really - it's my commuting car). Seem fine, though the car is massively over-tyred and so rarely tested dynamically!

Very large weight difference there. Can only give you my experience, and as some people on here know, I hardly 'hang around' in driving it would find any deficiencies rather quickly.

You sold them to Me Justin, I've even found them for a whole set £410. Got to buy some RSRs first though for the summer as I've still got lots of life in the bridgestones left

£410 is very good. Let us know how you get on with the RSRs as they are probably my next thought for the summer like you.

Will do but I'm no expert at driving so won't probably be able to give a true review.
Chris has them in Cyprus. But not quite the same roads. Lol

I've also got them and have been very impressed over a few thousand road miles. No track time on them yet though.
