Evening, we have booked 10 nights in Miami for June, and just wondered what is best to do?

Any must see things? Any advice would be much appreciated smile

My advice? Avoid Miami airport at all costs!

Be interested to hear replies, potential destination for me.
OP - rough costs? Obviously hotel dependent etc.

After loads of hotel research I decided to book something reasonably decent (I think). I was looking at a few cheaper places but I reckon they could have ruined the holiday going by some reviews on TA - I know some of these are questionable aswell..

We paid £2k for flights and hotel, 10% cash back through quidco..

Per person? Half board? 4star or 5?

For both for decent hotel seems ok, which I am guessing it is...

Yeah for both of us, hotel with breakfast and 'happy hour' included. Which i think is free drinks for an hour every night..

I fposible get tickets to see a absketball game - Miami Heat - if its in season.

Even if your not a fan its a great atmosphere.

Visit the Holocaust Memorial - quite a moving place and a very graphic memorial.

Spend some time on the beaches - they are superb.

I would second the advice to head to a Basketball game, although I would say that 10 days would be way to much time in Miami best get a car and do some touring.

I was in Miami in October and TBH seen all that I would want to see in 2 days, lucky enough it was a stop over for us as 2 days was plenty of time. And the airport is nuts as are all main routes into the USA, even more so if you happen to land during a busy period. You WILL be in the imigration queue for a long time.

Get a hire car and get out and about, unless you want to sit on a beach all day you'll need a car, 10 days stuck in Miami? Get down to the Keys, drive across to the Gulf coast, plus there are loads of parks and visitor attractions, get out in the Everglades and see some alligators!

Agreed - Transitted there 4 times, baggage lost (well turned up in Mexico City 2 days later) 3 times.

It's not cheap but it's a must do.......

Hire a boat with crew and cruise around the Miami waterways for a day....great way to see the city and just have a great time.
