Seemed like a good idea at the time.....

The locks and doors on the Spider always freeze up when it gets really cold. Tried using various greases with mixed success, but it's just so wet where I live that the volume of water is always going to win.
So, thought it would be a grand idea to liberally squirt de-icer in the door locks and prevent the ice forming. Now it appears to have stripped out all of the grease in the lock mechanisms, mainly on the passenger door and I can't get the doors to lock. I did manage to sort it briefly with WD40, but it's capitulated again. I can lock the driver's door manually, but the passenger one is refusing to budge.
Will keep trying with some light sprayable grease and go from there. Got visions of having to strip the door card off next, which I was hoping to avoid.
