Which would you choose?

Been looking for an estate and wanted an A4 Avant but have looked at alternatives and between me and my OH, we have narrowed it down. She has now said, engine choice is yours... I can't decide whether to be sensible or wild!

Not the most interesting cars but...

I can't decide if the running costs of the diesels are worth sacrificing some performance for.. HELP!

You gonna drive them a lot or just to the shops?

We don't do massive miles but I'd say depending on family visits we could manage 15k. Normally around 10-12k I suppose.

I also know very little about the engines, maybe most about the T5 as it is from the Focus which we nearly bought so any advice on which engines to go for/avoid would be helpful.
