Quad plenum possible?

These motors seem to benefit greatly by improving the breathing. Have seen a John Eales special with twin air hoses, feeding in separate left and right bank plenums. How difficult (how much?) would this be? What would be needed to balance the two air flow meters required, or are there other solutions?

Throw the plenum away and go downdraught throttle bodies, one per cylinder. John Eales reckons that is the optimum for the Rover V8. Gets away from all the plenum issues and with the right ECU, allows individual setup per cylinder.

Any chance to create a "package" solution for the Griff/Chim 500s, to bring the costs down a little? I believe that at present there are a few engines now with the individual throttle bodies, but each one as a one-off custom job.

Nope. John Eales has them off the shelf now. It is just very expensive because of the number of units needed, the amount of fettling required to install and set up. The end result is astounding though but it all depends on the spec of the rest of the engine and would probbaly include dumping the existing ECU system. The more you want, the more it costs unfortunately.

Talk to Tim at ACT regarding twin enter plenums. He muttered something about a 6 throttle body being possible!

I've seen a Single plenum cut in half, and another half with intake welded to it to make a double. So i guess you could do the same with a double plenum to make it a quad.
