Hi,

Does anyone know if you can buy snow foam in a shop or is it all about the online experience? Halfrauds don't appear to have anything listed on their site.

If I have to buy online, what's the current flavour of the month, Bilt Hamber stuff or...?

Cheers,
Rob

I guess most of the exotic brands Bilt Hamber etc are probably easier to get online

If bilt hamber is what you want I guess you could always call them and ask which store to buy from?

With a proper snow foam gun I get excellent foam using any of the jet wash type shampoos.

They need diluted a bit though.

Not 100% sold on the BH stuff, just read good reviews about it. Think Chemical Guys do one too that's well regarded. Last stuff I had (from a fair while ago) was Auto Rae Chem (IIRC) and it frankly didn't do anything on the cleaning front, so it would be nice to get something that actually cleaned a bit as well as making the car look like part of the Ghostbusters set wink

Cheers,
Rob

Most Shampoo will work as a Snow foam if you use a decent Qty of it...

Otherwise go and have a look on www.cleanyourcar.co.uk / www.i4detailing.co.uk and see what they list, usually around £15 for 5L - All of it does a good enough job in my experience and there isn't a huge amount of difference between any of them!

You can buy 'Auto Glym Pressure Wash' from Halfords to use as snow foam through a foam lance, with very good results.
Bilt Hambers 'Auto Foam' doesn't produce thick foam because it's not designed too, but it does clean very well.
You can buy all Bilt Hamber products direct off their web site.

Well I found a group buy on detailingworld for the Chemical Guys no touch stuff, £20 delivered for 5l. Looks good on some vids I've seen (as in I do no hard work wink) I'm back on my motorbike commuting now the snow has buggered off so opportunity to purchase 5l bottles and get them home have reduced so I'll just have to wait for the post to do its thing.

Cheers,
Rob

Snow foam is all snow and no go imho. I have tried it on numerous occasions with excellent coverage and all it does make a mess of the drive. It does not remove any dirt or grime that cannot be removed with just the standard lance.
