Been trawling youTube and have seen the rather special 572ci which generally seems to be pushing 750hp in street spec.572ci = 9.7ltr v8

Now I've happened across the 705ci!!!! What does that convert to in ltrs firstly and what cars was this beast fitted to also what sort of power are these pushing in street spec? Given the 572ci has 750hp I'm guessing this will be way over 1,000 hp all n/a!!!!!
And what about the torque... And gear and speed you will have far too much than you'd ever need especially in rwd.

Still the noise .... Wow straight through pure grunt
Think they should call the 705ci Brutus

Admittedly it's a race car, but still fitted in a "car" as opposed to a truck/cat/etc, but Roger Johansson has a 903ci nitrous assisted lump in his pro mod.. That's 14.8l

Colin Lazenby runs in excess of 800ci in a street legal car.

These engines were never standard fit in anything. They are custom or crate motors created by the aftermarket industry that is huge in the USA. You can order almost any configuration or power output you want if you have the money. The thing about these large engines is that they are very under stressed therefore they produce huge amounts of power with the fear they will blow up every five seconds. Also they produce huge amounts of torque.

My personal favourite would be one of these:

903ci!!!! 14.8ltr..Isn't that a large engine even for a double decker bus or a coach engine??? Gooa love them cubic inches

POWER.
On a serious note if these cars are in neutral with fresh suspension if you blipped the throttle would the car rock side to side with the power?

Yes.

Rev them and the car actually flips over.

You can do that in much less exotic machinery, so yes I think they would.

An MX-5 will wobble a little bit in idle, never mind something with a 702! It would damn nearly flip over a smaller car I bet.

Very true lol.

Is it torque or power which causes it to wobble or flip over??

Its just the reaction to the crankshaft spinning up. Bigger engine, heavier crank/rotating mass = more wobble.

TVR S' (And Chimearas etc presumably) have a particularly noticeable power wobble, light, softly sprung bodys with big heavy torquey engines...

My Hilux feels like it's having an epileptic fit if you rev it in neutral. And that's got about as much power as a travel kettle.

Steve Pateman runs (used to run?) a 706 pontiac based engine in his street legal calibra. Haven't seen the car recently though. The street eliminator guys used to run big displacement N/A but like pro mod are moving to "small" (500ci+) turbo engines.

In a street legal car lol.

Why would they not want to turbo the biggest engine though does a 706 or even that 14ltr lol need turbo power??
Surely the noise is the most importation thing alOng with whiplash inducing torque

Erm, for drag racers the most important thing is beating the guy next to you smile
Not fully up to date with rules/regulations but in some classes engine size is restricted if the engine uses forced induction.
