I use Millers CRX LS 75w90 in mine, I have thousands of miles racked up on this stuff without issues.

Using a high quality 75w90 LS oil will still provide your diff with all the hypoid protection it needs, but will also reduce your transmission power loss when compared with a 75w140 weight oil.

Only if I was going to track my car (which I'm not) would I be tempted to to move up a weight from my current 75w90.

Whatever diff oil you choose it is essential it's rated for use in limited slip units, these limited slip specific diff oils contain a special additive.

Use an oil in your limited slip diff without this special additive and sooner or later you will have expensive issues.

Regular changes at 12,000 miles are equally important in my book, this is often neglected by owners or simply skipped by unscrupulous mechanics at service time in order to boost profits.

Not many people will check to see if they actually have the new diff oil they paid for after their 12,000 mile service, mechanics know this and the greedy ones just don't bother to change it and put the cash saved in their pocket.

In my opinion, it's another good reason to service the car yourself.

Thanks guys.

Was going to get 75/90 but was unsure about the requirement for the LS oil.
Going by what you have said the LS is important so thats what i will get.

Cheers Neil

All very good point above main thing is to change the stuff out regular it is the cheapest form of maintenance after all. I use The castrol stuff purely because i know a few TVR indys that recommend it and as said just make sure it is LSD oil
