Opposite lockerey on Her Majesty's Highway!
Discussion
I had read through some journo threads recently and I saw a little bit of criticism of this guys tendency for purposely throwing the back out for some opposite lockerey.
I do realise the road is not place for such antics… but if you have a LSD equipped car then do you engage in a dalliance with a bit of opo’ and an opportune moment when no one is looking?
I saw comments on these threads of; who does that on the road anyway?
I have to confess that I am partial in a bit of road thuggery when no one is about and the only victim of my affliction are my tyres and pride if I get it slightly wrong.
While I am confessing I have to admit I am partial to a bit of drift porn on youtube.
Flame me… I may ignore you.. but how many of you are the same as me and Vidal Baboon?

You do know he won't invite you to his house for dinner and cuddles just because you've added him to your virtual gang don't you?
Sorry I going to take his name out the post as I don't want this to be about him. I am bored to death with those posts. This is about me! Being a git on the road! Are you like me... a git? VB it seems you are.

I find it interesting that if you wheelie a bike on the road they'll do you for not in control or whatever the specific law is, but they don't seem to take the same view for sideways in a car. Or do they?
IIRC it is the same.BDR529 said:
I may have done it once, twice, maybe a few times in my old E30..
I would with my E36 but it's too bloody planted and LSDless.
I also find that the E36 has a surprising amount of grip. They are great motors... you can really drive them out of corners.

I think you will find as I did tail out on a non-LSD and LSD car are very different. Its so much more controllable with a LSD. Its not you, the LSD helps loads! No pun intended.

It's too tempting not to most of the time. I'm always really cautious about checking if anyone is about first though...
An MX5 with low power and no LSD means that heroic Top Gear style power slides are off the cards, though. Still very fun to just kick the back out exiting roundabouts though.
I've never driven a car with an LSD, it's hard to imagine how it feels as I've just got so used to driving without one.

IIRC it is the same.Interesting that the police don't seem to prosecute the likes of Evo et al when they show videos of them doing exactly that on public roads.
I almost lost the back end of my car a while back in my mr2, wasnt used to it in the wet and was being extremely foolish, policeman in undercover saw me, gave me a ticket and a rollocking. The 30 pound fine was then reimbursed a few days later, i think passing the attitude test and admiting i was being a plank at the wrong time worked.
I may have accidentally engaged in this, not on purpose of course, in both the mx5 and mr2.
Wet conditions were required for both due to good tyres. I'm actually finding the mr2 (wtihout LSD) more lively than the 5 (with LSD) but I think that's because of T1Rs on the front and ditch finders on the back
I snaked past some old bloke raking his leaves up a hairpin a couple of days ago, I suspect he then visited the "one single thing that makes you think...". In my defense this time was actually an accident and a result of wet leaves on road.

Thankfully I live in a very large mountain forest park with a one way system, in a small village (just upgraded from hamlet as it happens) with very few people, so the opportunity for a few antics arises quite often.
Fortunately it would be virtually impossible to be caught by Bib due to the terrain, but damn does it feel like a forest rally stage
Dont see the problem when theres noone around.

I received an ASBO up here in Scotland for a bit of opposite lockery coming out of a junction a couple of years ago. Low Speed, damp clear roads (apart from the police van hiding behind a house
) and entirely on my own side of the road. Of course it was accidental Officer, having just came out of a muddy road in the middle of winter. Reported to PF for careless, never went any further thankfully bar the cheeky ASBO letter through the post. So no, I've never done it again...
or at least been caught...
