Jeez! I'm afraid no sympathy if been drinking and then doing them speeds... Its a loss but hopefully other people will learn from this now, still a shame to lose a life this way though.

Horrible story - and a waste of a young life but what is most shocking of all is that people on this site actually read the Dail Fail

tragic of course but at the age of 19 surely you are capable of knowing a) not to drive at twice the drink limit and b) not to do an indicated 105mph while in said state, especially in a Corsa.

The people I feel worst for are his family; his own actions have left them having to deal with his death

Over £1k a year to insure a Series, that's mad!

As for the corsa driver, I have no sympathy for drink drivers.

You know it's sad when you hear that kids have lost their lives at the hands of a boy racer; teenage lads and lasses on the local news. Been happening for decades, since James Dean!

And yet the verdict was 'accidental death'. I'm not sure it's really accidental if you knowingly flout (by a significant margin) two laws in place for yours and everyone elses safety - 'irresponsible death' might be more fitting a description.

Are you a member of the Land Rover owners club, members can get cheaper insurance.

The worst bit about that story is that he probably didn't really achieve 100mph, his speedo would have been over-reading.

Have you ever done anything remotely irresponsible in your short life? (apart from the Land Rover of course)

I can only imagine being a parent and losing a kid like this, it must just be unimaginable.

We all make mistakes, no matter how stupid, to say someone deserved it - nope below the belt for me, especially on a public forum.

As harsh as this may sound, I have no sympathy what so ever for his family. It was his fault for being twice the drink drive limit, and his fault for going over 100mph in a bloody Corsa. The article states that his sister said that he wasn't a silly lad and it was only 1 mistake. Sounds like he made a string of mistakes there and he was very silly to do so.

The reason for my bitterness is that a family member of mine who was close to me lost his life last year aged 18 due to the same idiocy of the driver displayed here, at least we have one more threat removed from our roads.

The reason young male drivers have high insurance premiums is because young males think they are immortal and like to take risks. It is not until we grow older that (normally) we prefer to slow down a bit and act a little less like tits. That is genetically programmed and without it the human race would probably still be living in caves (or extinct). Unfortunately it is also totally incompatable with modern life and the rise of the "feminisation" of everything.

What a stupid idiot. I don't feel sorry for him one bit. He got what he deserved. I recently witnessed an accident of someone taking a bend at least 70mph and hit a wall before spinning and hitting several other cars. It was crazy - imagine what would happen at 105mph.
