Hi all

Was wondering if someone could clarify for me the method by how these work exactly?

Do they adjust once when you turn the lights on, ie for load in the back etc, or do they adjust on the fly by monitoring the pitch of the car etc?

Thanks smile

i turned right before a set of speed bumps last week after the oncoming car 'flashed' me

happened to be a 5 series police car, which pulled in behind me and gave me a telling off

he said 'we don't flash motorists'

but they are a right pain in the censored on uneven roads

Basically the self levelling take the place of the thumb wheel level adjuster on the dashboard that the driver would normally adjust for the load levels in the car. They don't compensate for undulations and bumps in the road.
