Haunted Renault 19

Well it sounds like it, when in gear and making a bit of speed, anything over 30mph, it makes a weird sort of howling/buzzing/whining from the gearbox area, clutch feels fine. Is it the thrust bearing or something? never heard anything like it before

Im no expert but it could be the driveshaft?

A renault 19?? It probably is haunted,its certainly old enough to be!

Doubt it ,probably a worn bearing inside the gearbox.

Driveshafts rattle/clonk when worn

and it's a phase one......the only one left that hasn't reverted to it's natural state
