This idea has poped in to my head but will it still power up and down like the OEM unit? will be nice to see.

Are you all midgets?!!
I can't reach the screen to use as a touchscreen from my normal seating position, but then I am not a dwarf

Quite interested in in though. smile

My Garmin nuvi 3790 has voice control, which would alleviate the reach problem, but I think the 5" screen is a bit on the small side for it's position. Anybody know the dimensions of the factory fitted Garmins.

I did a test drive of a Virage when it first came out and would say that the screen sizes are no different from the old Volvo unit. Stand to be corrected though.

Surely holding alcohol that close to a scotsmans mouth is a bit like inviting a tiger to eat steak off your hand.....
In ne'er a blink o' the eye ye'll ave been glasgee-kissed in the tessies, yer pint dooned and the glass embedded somewhere ye ne wanted it.

Not stereotyping or anything smile
