What is it with Nissan Micra drivers that makes them feel its okay to plod along at half the speed of most traffic everywhere you go?

Without fail, whenever a Micra driver pulls out onto the road, without fail they will feel its okay to go 20 in a 30 zone, 25 in a 40 zone etc and be unnecessarily overcautious.

Worst drivers ever imho.

/Rant over.

I've driven my Mum's micra on a few occasions. Two things about them:

1. The speedo in the Micra vastly over reads and isn't very clear. What looks like 40mph is actually more like 34mph.

2. People drive very agressivly against you when you're in a Micra, you get overtaken, undertaken and everything else, even when you're driving at the speed limit. I've never been overtaken in a 30, doing 30 so many times in my life.

Looking at your garage, it's no surprise what you drive to be honest.

Tell that to the young chap in a Micra S who overtook me in a 50 doing approx 90 the other night!

It was slow-as-st from the lights but he overtook most things just because he was going so flaming fast afterwards.

Using my dads diesel micra at the mo. I drive slowly in built up areas but usually over the speed limit away from them.

But they are a car that appeals to old folk for some reason (do they like the vague as fk steering?) so they will be driven as such a lot of the time.

your right micra speedos over read by huge ammount k12 at least. mines a good 10% out.

mines never driven slowly always at the limit if its safe to do so. but i suppose you have to remember its a maximum speed not a recomendation or a speed you have to do.

But I do worry about people driving so slowly, if you haven't go the confidence to do 40mph in a modern car on a wide, straight, dry road in daylight there must be something very wrong with the car (so you have so little faith in it) or you are not in a fit state to drive.

I overtook a Figaro the other day in my land rover, they where doing 25 in a 50mph on an A road (was NSL until recently). You know you are going slow if you are holding me up in that.

I do agree on them usually being driven by the "older" community.

Old + underreading speedometer is not a great combination.

Whats that supposed to mean? I like to make steady progress at the speed limit, as do most other people on the road I presume.

I saw your post and thought, "I bet it's an Audi or a BMW" hehe

They always seem to be driven in a slightly 'oblvious' manner around these parts, by a certain ethnicity more often than not confused Definitely seem to have moved away from the 'old people' demographic.

Funny you should mention this, I've just come back from shopping and was almost t-boned by a Micra when the old tt driving didn't bother to look before pulling out of a junction.

As a Nissian Micra driver i must ask

Why the fk bellends in dull crappy bottom of the range german cars feel the need to try and kill themselves in an effort to get past me on the straights only to crawl round the bends in the road like disabled tortise.

Does being behind a micra mean your penis is even smaller then it actually is

Because overtaking a micra is obviously a challenge in a bottom of the range german mobile.

Higher powered diesel cars have bought useable power to the masses. People think they are driving a 'fast car' and so feel obliged to let you know how slow yours is by overtaking/tailgating you. These people do not know how to drive so go slowly round corners.

Obviously very general. Please do not feel the need to tell me you own one and don't do that.

I drive a Micra! It may please you to know I'm not a lane hogging idiot who plods along holding up traffic. I will even admit I get annoyed at other Micra drivers (mostly because they are all old and slow) tongue out

There's a joke here somewhere about the age of Micra drivers.
