Photoshop help...

I've seen some of the amazing work people can do with photoshop (the Lewis thread had me in stitches!) and I'd love to be able to use it.

I can get a copy of it for nowt off a mate who has licence for 2 copies, but only 1 computer (allegedly...), but where's the best place to learn it? Is the 'help' section within it actually any good or are there any recommendations as to books/online tutorials that people have found useful?

Youtube is pretty good for instructional step by step videos for photoshop (search form something like Photoshop for beginners).

Youtube is actually pretty good for most things that you may not have experience with e.g learning (the basics of) a new language, cooking, mechanics, skiing etc...

Nor me. Sadly it's not another legendary 'shopping thread in the making.

Back on topic though:
There are so many brilliant tutorials online. Just Google Photoshop tutorials and go from there.

If there is a particular effect you want, 9 times out of 10 there is a tutorial for it. Start out learning the basics first and go from there.
