Whenever possible I try to avoid driving angry as I tent to release my agression by driving like a bit of a dick. For example, a couple of days ago me and the Mrs went to the new forest to 'get away' from the stress of our lives only to end up with even more stress than we arrived with....

It started on the day we was due to come home, we was looking for somewhere to have lunch. First place we turned up at was closed for refurbishment, second place was only open until 2pm (was 1:30 by this time), third place had stopped doing food, and finally the fourth place did do food, but kept us waiting an hour for two stone cold jacket potato's.

By this time I was totally p**ssed and the Mrs wasn't helping either, so on exiting the fourth restaurant after getting a refund, I backed the car up to their entrance and did a burn-out before leaving a #11 all the way out of their car-park to show future potential customers that we couldn't get away quick enough.

Wish I could say I wasn't proud of my actions, but it felt mighty good at the time.

What have you done in the car in a moment of anger, and what caused it?

Drink driving? Not big or clever.

Yes, that showed them.

Nobody willing to share a story then frown

Guess I'll start a boring thread about changing spark plugs instead...

Here goes....

I wnt to change my spark plugs today and the first one that came out looked like this..

I don't know much about reading plugs, but to me it looked ok. However, I had already bought some new sparks so I changed all 16 of them anyway. Took about 1hr.

I hate getting wound up when in the car. Driving should be the way you unwind, not an outlet!

I'll fess up even if no one else will, after I got my licence Learned the hard way to not get in the car if I know I'm stressed already! I have done some daft stuff in the past, but nothing worth explaining. I'm just glad I never injured or damaged anyone or anything in the course of doing it.

I must admit to have been making a nice pair or two of 11's when I've been in a bad mood.

Last time I did that I ended up getting pulled over by some pretty blue lights within 100yds. Lesson learnt, I try to stay calm though I do still occasionally get a bit aggressive behind the wheel.

I was extremely annoyed on my way home today, because the woman in front was going too slowly. So I left a reasonable gap, and then pulled alongside her at the lights. I gave her a mildly annoyed look, but quickly turned away when she looked at me.

I used to be like that. Now I keep a bottle of Glenmorangie in the glove box.

If I'm getting annoyed at the wheel I just drop into the slow lane, turn up the Led Zep, and watch the world go by. Being cut up by a moron ain't worth dying for.

OP, you don't drive a bus in Bristol do you?

On topic, I tend to rant and rave to myself but try very hard not to let my annoyance tip over into my driving.

Top marks. Been itching all day to say that to some tt in my office, don't think he'd have understood though.
