My mate bought one of these for his business way back in the 80's when they first came out, all where built in South Africa. Was an amazing looking pick-up back then and very desirable.

Not sure I would spunk 8k on one now though. Could become a collectors mind if you keep it in mint.

They'd be lucky to get £500 out of me to be honest. There's nothing wrong with the P100, but think of what other far superior pickups you can get well within that budget. A decent Ranger, for a start.

These were a poor pick up with remarkable rustability when new.

Price is a try on: someone may be foolish enough.

There is an Austin 7 on at 25K currently. That is also a try on

Prices are falling not rising. But in the words of the car salesman

'There is one borne every minute.'

I reckon it's £9k, because someone has spent that on returning it to the condition it's in and they're trying to recover it.

I often wonder if my Dad's is still around.
Cortina shape P100 but a rare South African shape with nicer rear lights.
Air adjustable suspension to alter the height and help it carry up to two tonnes in the back.
White but with a subtle sparkle and pearl paint job.
Wolfrace wheels - large and high profile rears, small low profile fronts.
A near 400bhp V8 that started life as a Rover 3.5
A worrying ability to snap propshafts and fling the entire thing into the air, landing in a shower of sparks.
