Any Chiropractors in the house

A couple of days ago (wed am) I slipped and fell on the stairs ending up in a crumpled heap at the bottom.
Excruciating lower back and left hand buttock pain. I took co-codamol and my wife took me straight round to a local chiropractor. I was examined and recommended (pain killers of course)
and lying flat on my back with my legs propped up @ right angles on a dining room chair.
2 days later back pain is very much better but I can hardly move for the pain in my buttock (sharp feels like it's on fire) if I try to move or walk.
She thinks this is Sciatica. I know that it's impossible to diagnose over the internet but does this seem a reasonable treatment?? I havn't spoken to my GP yet, I'm awaiting a call back from them due to high call volumes.

Could be lots of things, sciatica it doesn't sound like, as you'll get pain down the back of the leg and sometimes below the knee.
The fact its much better after 2 days suggests its not a fracture of your coccyx or sacrum. Could be sacroiliac joint, muscle contusion and lots more.
Just keep using ice for now (20mins on, 40-60mins off, 20mins on and so forth). Use an ice pack or bag of Frozen peas or whatever 2-3 times a day with 2-3 20minutes sessions as it were. Pain killers are fine but try to use anti-inflammatories for now.
4th year (final) chiropractic student. On my phone and in clinic so can't really write too much atm
