Right so i need your help.

I wrote an email to audi asking for some info and they written back and very kindly/generously offered me a 100 quid fleece/jacket worth up to 100 quid as thanks for my email.

Now the problem i have is i am a fat barsteward at present so need most likely xxl rather than xl.

Second problem is i cant decide which one.

Three choices as i see it..

http://merchandise.audi.co.uk/?page=shop&pid=2...
http://merchandise.audi.co.uk/?page=shop&pid=1...
http://merchandise.audi.co.uk/?page=shop&pid=1...

Option 3 i would chip in for obviously.

So help please.

And of course feel free to let the Imagine jokes roll in for amusement value. biggrin

I have an almost irrational hatred of fleece.
The white jacket has too much of the imagine factor.
Option 2 it would be for me.

ETA And black is slimming, you pie-eater. wink

That's intriguing. You asked them a question and they gave you something for free? Doesn't make sense to me!

Either way I'd get the fleece.

Cut and paste.

Hi

I own the Starship Enterprise Y------ which is a 2001 A4 Tdi 130 sport. Presently my mileage stands at 365 500 miles as of today. All going well it should hit 400 000 by the end of this year.

The car has in the time I have owned it been faultless letting me down only once that I can recall when the alternator seized up on the motorway shearing a pulley off the engine and even then it kept running and I only had it recovered as i didn't want the belt to get caught in the engine fan.

In fact on consideration I have failed it more often than it has failed me. Once by sliding it sideways into a crash barrier and on another occasion doing a dukes of hazard, one of the saddest days in all my ownership when I a grown man very nearly cried for the first time in 15 yrs.

It has in my time of ownership since I bought it with 33000 miles on the clock merely needed average service stuff. I replaced the clutch and clutch release bearing as the bearing was going and I replaced a brake calliper last year to try find out why it started warping its disks.

Even though the front has been sandblasted to death and there are various chips all over the front there is also virtually no rust on the car either. It is quite simply a brilliant piece of kit and a credit to Audi and its employees.

I am therefore very curious as to what the highest mileage car you have seen is, that is privately owned and roughly still original that is not an Audi development or pool car. My local dealer East Kent Audi seem to think offhand that the highest mileage car they have seen was on 300 000 something.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

traffman

Remind me never to e-mail Audi.

You appreciate they are £50 items with a £50 Audi tax?

Must have been nauseatingly sycophantic...

Either that, or they want to put a tracker on him...hehe
