Popped into the dealers to get my missus car serviced, and waited for them to sort the loan car for me, I requested the Range Rover they had for sale. On returning that evening they tried to get a deal from me, this is what they offered:

I have --> 2008 Freelander HST / black / 38k on the clock,
They offered --> 2007 RR 3.6 TDV6 HSE Sport / Black / 79k on the clock.

Straight swap... where is the catch? Oh god, So undecided!.. I love the Range Rover, but my car is faultless never skipped a beat, really could do with some thoughts!

Cheers in advance.

Wow!! That's pretty mad.

Not sure what I would do in that situation, I have a Freelander also and the missus is now banging on about a RRS, but , like you the Freelander has been superb and has all the luxury already.

Mmmmmmmm...........

Tough.

Toss a coin........

I wouldn't. You've already had the good luck of a trouble free LR product. Why push it? hehe

Everything about running it is going to be more expensive, but I'd still do it.

I love the Freelander but frankly the RRS is better... smile

...and at that mileage, it is barely run in!

As for the dealer, for them the Freelander would be a much easier car to shift than the RRS.

Is that a 3.6 TDV8, or a 2.7 TDV6? I can't remember whether there was an overlap in spec, but I don't think there's a 3.6 TDV6.

Thanks for the comments, I still havent done anything about it as my Freelander has just had a service and the tech's said my car was in great condition and flew through the health check. I was chatting with the sales girl, and she said to stick with mine rather than go for the RR due to mine being in great shape.

I think If i wanted to, I would have by now... so undecided smile

You could be right in it being a TDV8 actually

Not suprised as there are loads of RRSs for sale right now and hard to shift in these high fuel price austerity times.

Probably some financial hocus pocus going on too etc

If they give you a warranty I would take it if you really want one.

What does the Missus think (if the Freelander is hers?)

Sounds like a plan to me though smile

Which one is best...the RRS or the Freelander...there's only one way to find out...!
