Nice presentation, simple instructions, ready to fly so ideal for my nephews to learn how to. Made sure the battery was properly charged and went to a safe (or so I thought) area just to get it hovering so I could fine tune the pitch and rotation.
First flight lasted for about three seconds, the copter took off nicely and was hovering at about six feet when there was a puff of blue smoke as the control circuit burned out. It then set off out of control (no tail rotor), crashed into my neighbours house and bounced around the garden damaging plants and itself as it went. The only way to stop the main rotor was by unplugging the battery. The only way to get close enough to unplug the battery was at significant risk.
Despite the listing having a ten day return and several messages the seller has failed to make contact about this and removed the positive feedback she had already left (so I know the messages have been received).
It will cost more to repair than replace so if anyone wants one for spares let me know.
Helicopter 1/10
Seller 3/10 (as it arrived quickly and was not damaged in the post)

Sounds like you have had bad luck there. I am on my second. The first bought it due to flying in too high a wind, it is now somewhere near where I live but I can't find it!
So the second one. I have had no electical gremlins and it does fly fairly well considering the price. Any cross wind is a big issue as there is no cyclic for sideways tilt. The biggest negative for me is the weakness of the top section of the mainshaft where the blades fit and the flybar pivots. These seem to get broken regularly. The canopy is very brittle and the flybar hits it very easliy.
Just for fun I have put on a Lynx fusalge from a Maplin heli to replace the cracked std one. Cheaper on ebay and looks much better. I is also a bit heavier which oddly makes it easier to fly.
I would say it is a fun little toy for the money but am now looking into what CP heli to upgrade to. Not sure which one to go for, the Blade SR looks good or one of the Esky ones. Any comments?

Wow!
Just had a call from the chap who runs the shop the helicopter comes from. Very apologetic and any delay was completely understandable and justified. The fault may have been caused by damp storage conditions rather than a fault with the pcb itself. Normally the seller suggests the copter be taken out of the box and given twenty four hours to acclimatize before any electricity is put through it. Because they forgot to mention this they accepted responsibility and by way of apology for any inconvenience I have a new copter in the post.
My faith in humanity has been given a serious boost as well.
