Emergency door release

Anyone know how to get at the lock end of the door emergency door release cables ? I had reson to use mine the other day, not a TVR electrical fault but because the passenger caught the seat belt buckle in the door and it seeemed to lock up the system.

Anyway the driver side was OK but on the passenger there was a lot of slack in the cable and the handle had to be pulled about 6inches out to function and was difficult to get back in. I assume that I can take out the slack in the cable if I can get to the other end of it but it is not obvious how to get at the lock.

It's highly unlikely you'll get any info re anything to do with locks and car security on the public forums here.

I don't actually know the answer to your question (it's one of the few things that always worked fine on mine) but I'd suggest you give a ring to one of the indie TVR specialists and see if they'd be able to help you.

Otherwise if there are any TVR club members near you they may know the answer and be able to help you out.

First take the seat out, then gradualy take bits off/peel carpet back till you can see what your looking for. I have done it when fitting an amp supply etc. for a mate, Its a great way to start understanding how they are put together and not really that difficult just time consuming..

I had to wd40 the handle end & fiddle with the lock inside the body.
