On my retrim. Pulled out the vinyl/hide and carpets today. I intend to make some great savings on cost by retrimming the carpets myself and all the vinyl.

I'm sending the stuff that needs sewing to my Dad in Cyprus as he knows everything there is to know about sewing!!! Retired rag trade expet is he. I know a bit about that stuff too so all the pieces will be cut using Bison or Lamonta. I'm going for a complete Portland Grey interior as opposed to the Magnolia & Navy I had before.

I'm taking some pics for a piece I'll be posting on here when its done. All in it should cost me no more than £350 for carpets and trim. I'll also be treating the bits that have gone rusty namely the seatbelt mounts and the door frame which as I discovered have been affected by years of water ingress.

If anyone is contemplating a similar project and needs help just ask!

Hello Andy
I'd certainly be interested to hear/see more about your project as it develops.

About to do similar to mine, you may have seen the "mooo" topic And whilst I know I'm fine with the flat panels (quite a few in +2), the stitching and more complicated shapes could be interesting!

cheers
Dave

I can offer the services of my website should you decide to put together an article on the subject.

I am sure that many people would be interested.

All I need is an MS Word file and the JPEG's. Beam 'em over and I will do the rest.

You can send them over as you go and I can turn it into a weekly update or something if required.
