I am just about to buy a 55VT30 I am happy with the price and it comes with a 5 year Panasonic warranty and 2 sets of glasses. However I have a habit of making large electrical purchases just before the manufacturer offers some even more amazing deals! I know the new model is due in April but does anyone know if Panasonic will be offering any other incentives to shift stock like free blue ray players or movies?

I've not 'followed' the model range for a couple of years but the 'traditionally' Panny prices usually drop significantly in last few months of the model year...

That said, they seem to be savvy enough to run stocks low/ out too - to the point it can be difficult to find some of the higher end models!

So all I've done is add to your dilemma really - sorry!

I believe panasonic are due to release pricing and model information on the 2012 GT50 and VT50 euro range either today or tomorrow. So this might have an effect on the previous generation prices.

Thanks for the replies. It seems Panasonic don't have lots of stock left so I guess there won't be too much more by way of incentives to shift the last few...

I can get one for £1850 with glasses and 5 year warranty I think I will settle on that.

£1850 is about £500 less than it was two months ago - seems like a good deal.

Personally I would wait a few days just to see what teh reviews of the new sets are like. There are well documented "green blob" issues with the VT30 series which Panasonic recently released a firmware update to tray and fix. The new 50" set of the VT50 (this year's VT30) is going to be £2000. Personally if it's a better TV I'd rather have a 5" smaller screen!
