Hi all.Sorry for a repetative type topic, but once again the search is down.
If anyone can post a side on pic of a Griff on RL7's i would much appreciate it. After a lot of deliberation i have finally decided to run these wheels but i'm still not sure what sizes would look right,so any sizes of both wheels and tyres in the pic would be really helpful.

Will see if I have some time in the morning to pull the car out and swap (very lazy) one side over!!

Do you already have the wheels - I am looking to move on the ones I have in the photo...

Hi Martin,i have some wheels at the moment and have a choice of either 18 rear and 17 front or 17 all round. What size are yours, they look lovelylick? Are they all 17's? and do you know the ET offset? Mine all need a re-furb and new boots frown

Hi,

They are 17s ( 225 45 FR, 245 40 RR).

Not sure of the offset, as after the refurb the markings are difficult to read. I'll see if I can meaure it in the morning.

I have 18" spiders (Rears) on all round with the sportmotive front spacers on at the moment.

I think i'll be using the Sportmotine conversion and front spacers as well. I'm guessing yours are 8" wide rims all round?

Marty told me he runs 235 F 245 R all 40/17.

Think I will end up with 215 front as I dont have PAS.

I ran 215x40x17 on my last Griff and they were really good. I was a little reticent about going to the taller sidewall of the 235x40 as I feel that most of the improved handling feeling came from this area.I don't think lack of pas will be a problem to be honest,it certainly doesn't put me off due to the much lower profile than the factory 205x55's
Will the sportmotive spacers be corrct for the 17" front racelines? I was wondering about stud length and spigot size and also if the spacers are 10mm thick? I think the Raclines are ET 35 aren't they? If so I would want a 10mm spacer.

They are the best alloy for the Griff to my opinion. Mine are 17" 7,5" front and 8" rear (Love the deep centre) and also nice that front is different tot the back.

Hope the link works.

Yes absolutly fine. It was over 10 years ago when I did it now so memory fades but at the time I remember saying, if anything, it felt better. Mine are 8" width with an ET 40 and I need 6mm spacers at the front. Bit pissed off at the time as the wheels were made for me so I could have had them machined to 40mm rear and 35mm front.

Thanks for the replies folks, thats been very helpful.I was wondering what silver ones would look like on my car and 3gadgriff's is a great likeness in body colour.Im now sure I'll fit the 18" rear 17" front combo as well, though at the time of my first post I did have chance of some 4 stud 17's all round which was tempting. Can't wait to get on with mine now bounce

RL7's do look very nice indeed on Griff. Do they still make them?

unfortunately they dont make them anymore. Plenty at the breakers and in the classifieds though. Ant is selling three 17's for a very fair price in the classifieds on here.

How do you work the search filter in the classifieds? I tried to find these for a cursory look but can't find them. confused
