Who supplies the best Varifocals?

Any views on the high street suppliers?

I got those free ones 2 years ago.

Recently had eye test and ordered their Pentax "Tailor Made" lenses from same company.
Now the expectation was that the field of vision would be three times wider in the middle section.

To be honest they were rubbish and kept saying it was me! WTF!
They apparently sent them back to be re-made (yeh!) and when I tried them again NO Difference.

I demanded my money back - and got it!

So can anyone recomend from experience?

I have tried a couple of the allegedly better higher spec types and found that they were hopeless for me. I have had Varilux Comfort on at least two occasions and these have been excellent. Last time I needed new glasses I went to Optical Express and had their version of the Varilux Comfort with no problems.
Boots still supply the Varilux range I believe.
