Monte Carlo Blue Honda S2000 GT

After a good years use out of the lovely Eunos roadster i bought my dad last summer my dad was after something a bit quicker and more refined so I went and bought him an S2000 GT on Friday. I got the car extremely cheap so it was a no brainer and should get around £1100 for the hardtop and its stand and cover etc so the car won't owe a lot.
The Car in question is a 2002 S2000 GT finished in Monte Carlo Blue with black leather and after a full clay and polish today is immaculate! Its lovely to drive mainly down to its 9000 rpm redline. Its got very grippy Toyo tyres on it. Its got the biggest folder of receipts I have ever seen all Honda and has only had 2 owners at 105,000 miles... yes its high but VTECS are renowned for being bullet proof and this has been maintained regardless of cost. My dad will only do a couple of thousand miles in it. I was going to insure or be a named driver on my dads policy it as I think its very fun to drive but... Admiral wanted £2270 extra to have me on the policy but weirdly only £1100 for me to be the policy holder but its ridiculous to think Admiral insured me last year at 21 on a 996 Turbo worth ten times the value of the s2000 and of course much faster for £900ish!
The only thing I can fault on the car is the wheels have some corrosion but I will tackle that another day
Just need to get myself something now after selling the M5 a few weeks back nothing has tickled my fancy yet... although viewing a vx220 tubby this week.

Looks lovely. More refined than an mx5 though? I would of thought they were kinda the same. Definitely a step up though and 9000rpm will never get old.
Probably have to be a little careful with it. I know two people now who binned theirs in fields on wet/greasy roads after a bout of unexpected oversteer.
Lovely machine though. Honda won't be making them like that for a while. If ever again.
Can't believe you sold the M5 already. Or has it been 6 months and I haven't noticed? Bet that was a wallet buster at the pumps! An did you get round to putting a different exhaust on it?

That is a real beauty..
And the Gt too..
I do like these and they need to be worked to get the fun factor out of them..
But that's part of their attraction too..
What do decent examples like yours go for these days..?

I never got round to changing the M5 exhaust only had it around 3 months I think. The fuel was a big reason for selling it... awesome car but I was fed up of filling up every 140 miles or so. Trouble is I think anything I drive now will feel slow going from the turbo to the M5, whatever comes next has a lot to live up to!

I would have thought If we were to sell it without the hardtop in this condition could get £5000 for it
