Time for a Religion forum?

What is your opinion on having a separate 'Religion' sub-forum, much like we've got the new science one?

I think a Sci-Fi and Fantasy forum would be a good idea......

That I would agree with. It could become a sounding board for nutters/extremists.

Saying that though, there seem to be plenty of threads that would fall into this category.

Don't see the needs. There are only a few religion threads running. Certainly not enough to warrant a sub-forum. Plus, most of what initiates the threads tends to be news items, or political moves, etc.

Whats the difference between that and the posts currently in the news or lounge section? Surely the content would be the same, just in a different section.

How is that different from what happens right now? It would mean people not interested don't have to go into that forum - just like the new science one.

My issue with that was that the apparent place for science/astronomy, etc, was the boats and plane forum, which made no sense.
