As Im being quite OCD about my engine build, I decided the transfer case wasnt looking clean enough so wire brushed it, etch primered it, then sprayed it. Unfortunately, the tin of Hammerite Silver I sprayed it with was actually Silver Metallic Plasti-kote. The dangers of working in a garage with the majority of the lighting strips out and when you desperate to get in for your tea.

Anyone any idea if this will be ok, or will it just flake off when it gets hot? Ie, do I need to strip it back and paint again?

I use Plasti-Kote, usually gloss black, for painting all my Mini transfer cases and clutch covers. Never had any problems. I also use Plasti-Kote Aluminium Primer as the base coat.
