An unusual first post?
Discussion
I've been lurking for some time now, to say the least and I thought now was the right moment to post.
My first driving lessons have just been booked so hopefully I will be in and amongst all you fellow PH'ers in good time!
Now for the "unusual" part of the post...
I've recently decided to do a EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) alongside my other AS levels. To cut a long story sort, you can do it on anything you like. I decided I wanted to do it on something motor-related (obviously), and in the end I came to the conclusion that perhaps I could do it on how the 787B of 1991 won Le Mans. I am really interested in the car itself and in general the Group C cars of the era (despite it being before my time).
I remember a couple of EVO issues back, they reviewed a book by the name of "Never Stop Challenging". It seems to have some info on the car and the race itself. However it is pretty pricey (£65), and I am unsure of what it actually contains. Has anybody had any experience of the book? What sort of info does it contain?
It would be great if anyone could point me to any other resources that have information on the 787B and Le Mans 1991 - it could be vital to the research section of the EPQ.
Here is a cover of the book :

Anyway - thanks for reading (if you got that far

Who is the author? Do you have you an ISBN? If you had those, I could look for you to see if you can source it cheaper. found nothing with only the title. I'd be interested myself, but not for 65 quid!
Author is Pierre Dieudonne
ISBN-10: 2930354569
ISBN-13: 978-2930354569
Is that the same car that Mazda renovated for Le Mans last year (or maybe the year before) and did a couple of display laps on race weekend?

(And welcome to the OP!)

Can't help any further, but this is substantially better than the "who will insure my R8?" thread.
This.
I'd second the library idea and in your search may find other useful information. If you struggle with the 'net and the library, maybe write a letter or e-mail to the publisher of the book or maybe even Mazda explaining you are completing a project etc and see what comes back. If they tell you to get knotted, you've only lost a bit of time.
Good luck!!!

. I don't see why that wouldn't work - as you said, I'd only lose some time.vrsmxtb said:
On topic, have you tried searching on your local library database. You'd be surprised what is knocking around the libraries!
Excellent point. The Library is a brilliant place to start, sometimes they offer inter-library loans and are able get you something normally unavailable in your local library group / council.
Good luck.
