Anyone got an R1100S?
Discussion
I don't own one, but have ridden many assisting my local dealer with test-rides.
The R1100s has a hard suspension, although it doesn't skip about on less than perfect road surfaces. I find them comfortable for my 6'3", 15 1/2 stone frame, although wrists and back ache after a couple of hours. I know several owners who report no major problems, although, as with all Beemers, the battery is a sh!t to get to and replace.
Go, try!!

I have a 2000 R1100S and I love it.
Fitted with Remus for a better note.
Haven't ridden any late sport bikes (don't like cruisers) but I like the way the 1100s steers and the good gutsy performance in real world conditions.
I am not convinced that this bike is as bullet proof as my previous K75S (or for the UJM's I have owned),but I have to say that this bike puts a smile on my face like no other bike I have owned.

Mmmm.. looks like I joined this a bit latebut I have the R1100ss Boxer Cup Replica. Not quite as quick as I would like but fantastic in every other way, especially the handling... I can actually loose my mate on his Aprillia (although he gets me on the straights. Buy one, you'll love it, and they hold their money too... bonus!
