Superstitious bollox

Im getting my first car today, which also happens to be a V8S. Praps a tad scary in combination, I know the car demands respect, Im excited but also apprehensive.

My girlfriends family harbour this firm belief that any green car will be bad news for the owner GF's mom asked what colour the car was, and gf told her it was green. She laughed, then face turned pale, and said "God I hope the number plate doesnt add up to 13"

GF came round, saw pics, and said "oh my god, number plate adds up to 13"

Im not supersticious as such, but its the 13th today, and thoughts turn to driving the car for the first time. Its been a while since Ive been behind the wheel, and after the owner dropped the hammer a few times ... im not second guessing my choice of car, just a litte apprehensive. Was anyone else, before getting something similar?

Don't be a fool. Its a car, your in control of the car and it will only do what you make it do.
Just get in and drive, just be careful of that loud pedal on the bends

Nothing wrong with green (especially Cooper Green, I should know). Don't worry mate, just take it easy and get to know the car. Take extra care in the wet!

Well if it's any comfort my insurance on my Tiger is up today (13th) and the best quote I got was for £666.50 So I took it

I think i've lost it. The guy is not coming down till 7, and every 5 minutes I leap up from my desk, thinking I can hear a V8 rumbling towards me.

Last Green Car I had my wife had an accident and nearly died. I will never get a green car again.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Green cars. My family have 4. 2 of them mine and 2 of the Cooper Green.

Just say:

"Oh well, it's probably unlucky, you'd better not go in it. it goes better with just me in it anyway

Yep first CAR, get to know the car first before you press the loud pedal all the way would be my advise!

Yep, first CAR. I recon ive got enough to think about/enjoy to be pansying about like a fairy worrying about colours

It's a nightmare waiting for it to come. But once you are in you will not have time to worry about all these silly things, you will be totally focused on the car and what it is doing.
