I asked in Boots once years ago, and they refused to sell me one. It may have been because when they asked why I needed I it couldn't think of a lie quickly enough so told them the truth – that I wanted to inject vodka and worcestershire sauce into to cherry tomatoes to make bloody mary canapés.
The lady went to ask, but her boss said no

Needed a syringe sans needle to administer liquid medicine to a puss. No chemist around here would oblige even when we explained the need and we did not want a needle. Vet supplied in the end.swifthobo said:
