Thanks. I've been to view it now. In my view it wasn't cheap enough....

It had the hallmarks of a car that had been given the bare minimum of attention, both by the previous owner and the selling garage.

The paintwork was flat and scratched in places; the bonnet had been resprayed and poorly refitted. The 'full' service history was just the service book and I wasn't confident about the gaps between the oil changes in particular. The only other paperwork was a quote from the local BMW dealer for £1500 from early Feb 2012, including amongst other things new rear discs. The car was still on it's ropey old rears, but with a new set of pads, which doesn't bode well for the rest of the jobs on the list.

After having seen it I didn't bother asking to drive it - it would have taken about half an hour to extract it from the showroom for a start...

Cheap, but not cheap enough IMO. Worth a punt at £12K maybe.
