Yes you need to purchase the premium version of Cod Elite but then you will get all the maps that are coming out and you will get them early.
If you haven't got Elite premium you will have to wait until until about April for the maps.

As johna said, get elite premium and you get dlc each month, non premium get lumps of dlc every 3 months.

Am I the only one who is irritated by the concept of having to pay £35 for DLC when the game already costs £40 and a you don't even know what the content will be? I find that amount for a few extra maps a total ripoff!

TBH I have played for 95hrs so far and I think I have my monies worth. The thing that irritates me is that the XBox gets it first but I suppose money talks.

Downloading now!!! Only 91Mb download!!!

Correction, there are 2 downloads you have to get for some reason. If you have code 1428 you need the top one and there is another at the bottom of the list. All the other product codes are together so you may miss the 2nd one.

your a moron if you pay £35 for cod elite, what idiot would pay twice for the same game, are you a fking sheep.

Us gamers are being exploited to the maximum, call of duty is one of the most popular games in the market why do they have to charge for these so caled extras?????

fking consumerism.

i feel sorry for you if you have paid for elite.

doesnt the £35 get you 20 online maps (over the year) .. that seems like pretty good value to me.

Does that make everyone who pays for an MMO subscription a moron too?

It's a business model that works, and it works out cheaper if you pay for Elite than by paying for all of the map packs separately. Add in the fact that you can play them sooner than anyone else and it's not a bad deal.

Moron here too.

Played about 60 hours or so up till now, so the extra £35 for elite on top of the £35 i paid for the game is worth it.
Cant think of many things where £70 will provide an enjoyable experience for all those hours (and many more to come)

Some fair points well made.

Although i do believe its £35 per year , not certain.

Im just an avid gaming fan who thinks that the maps should be a free bonus to an already good game.

I just think were being exploited as gamers and it needs to be stopped.

It is around £35 for the year yes.

The developers have to spend time designing these maps, building them, testing them etc. Developers need to be paid, so a few quid for an additional map every month really isn't bad in my eyes.

What I don't agree with is paying money to unlock content that is already there, or the new fashion with EA games to pay to unlock features within the game that you'd get simply by playing more of the game.

The new playlists are doing my tits in. I don't want to play domination but the first playlist is tdm, dom and KC. Why not have a death match based playlist? Almost every game I get put in is domination.
