Mods - Could you be so kind to make this a sticky and place at the top of the TVR events list - Thank you!

From cows leather to more horse power, it will all be there!' 070412 - SN16 9SH

Once again, former F1 race mechanic to Fernando Alonso, Neil Garner will open his doors for all to see inside his workshops and this year promises to be a truly eggstravganza event this Easter with some cracking deals to be had from the stall holders. Unlike previous years, Neil's Open Day has stepped up a cog by allowing the Wiltshire TVR Car Club to put the day into top gear with more attractions and more stalls than ever before.

For one day only we are honoured that D&C Trim are 'moving' south from Blackpool and Carl Baker is 'moving' north from Petersfield to come together with other stall holders to Kemble on the 7th April to give us the very best advice on how to enhance your TVR.

The old favourites like the rolling road provided by the North London Dyno Centre will test your car to the limit to see eggs-actly how much bhp your car will actually give.

Before coming to the Cotswolds to service Blackpool's finest, together with Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Lotus' and Porsches, Neil Garner is well known by TVR enthusiasts in the West Country with cars coming from as far south as Somerset and Dorset and far north as the Midlands for servicing and repairs. He has held 'full house' open days for his customers in the past during the Easter period, just before the motor racing season gets under way.

Besides all the TVRs Neil services, modifies and repairs, he will have three of his race prepared cars on display as well, the Mosler, the Porsche 997 and the latest addition, the Formula Le Mans.

Neil will be on hand to answer all your technical and performance related questions for your sports or performance car. He will also be giving a talk on his involvement with the Britcar 2012 Championship and see and hear for your self the Mosler he and his team prepare for the races.

He will also be 're-living' his former days on the F1 circuit with a short talk - travelling the world, preparing and maintaining Fernando Alonso's car and witnessing his very first F1 race win through to a fantastic 2005 championship battle, before coming to Kemble later that year to set up the business as we know today – Neil Garner Performance Engineering.

Not only have we had interest from over 60 TVR car owners (including two very rare Typhons) but fellow owners of the Italian marques, Ferrari and Maserati will be interested to know that Neil has joined partnership with Cortese of Bath, with 35 years experience, specialising in the international buying and selling of Italian prestige, sports, racing and historic cars. Subject to a sale beforehand , at the time of writing – a rare Ferrari 599 GTO may be on show for all to see. There will be an exciting collection of Italian cars to see and of course purchase if you should so wish!

The day is also linked with the Bristol Aero Collection, a mile away on the old Kemble Airfield – The Bristol Aero Collection is a museum dedicated to the preservation and display of artefacts of the Bristol Aeroplane Company and its sister companies. On display are aircraft, engines, missiles, spacecraft, road transport and many more items designed and built in nearby Bristol in the last century. And in true classic style, visitors can get to either site via a vintage Leyland (sorry it's not Bristol!) double decker bus kindly loaned by local coach owner, Andy James.

Trade stands on the day at the Kemble Business Park where Neil Garner Performance Engineering is based will include the best in TVR trade stands - So far committed are: D&C Trim from Blackpool, North London Dyno Centre (rolling road); Carl Baker (alarm and radio specialist); Autoglym (car care products); Fibreon (laminated panels); Autocolour (sprayers); Lepsons (alloy repairers); ACT (upgrades and performance upgrades); TVR Car Club; Classic Additions (car covers) and Cambria Cirrus, (Surrey Roofs for Griffs and Chims) to name but a few.

While we have an outstanding collection of TVRs we are still looking for those 'special' TVRs - one offs, rare TVRs, race TVRs and of course 'classic' TVRs of the 60's, 70's and 80's - if you can help and would not mind putting your car on display during the Neil Garner Open Day, we would love to hear from you. Of course ALL other TVRs and members are welcome, just wanting special / rare models to be at the forefront of the show.

In addition to viewing Neil Garners premises and the various trade stands, the Wiltshire TVR Car club will be running a Concurs de Elegance competition. This will start at 11.00 with results announced around 2 o’clock and prizes for the very best TVR’s on show. If you intend to show your pride and joy it would be appreciated if you are there by 10.45, to allow sufficient time to park in the dedicated area and undertake that last bit of cleaning!

On arrival you should inform the person at the main entrance you are entering the Concurs de Elegance, so you can be directed to the correct area. On parking your TVR you will be given a time slot of when your car will be judged as we will require to inspect under the bonnet, boot and interior. In order for us to gauge the level of interest it would be appreciated if you could let me know if you intend to enter, so sufficient car parking can be set aside.

On the day there will be a dedicated area where owners will be able to park their cars, if they intend to enter the concurs event. This area is marked for car parking so we will have to guide each car (probably at a slight angle) in as we will want a bit more space in-between the the cars to undertake judging

There will of course be the usual raffle. One of the star prizes will be for two people to attend a Britcar meeting with Neil and his crew. As a winner, you will have full paddock and pit entry and help Neil and his guys as a supernumerary pit crew 'extra'. A prize you just can't 'buy!'

Food and refreshments will be available to purchase on the day - tea, coffee, hot dogs and burgers.

All models of TVRs are welcome together with other classic and super car marques such as Ferraris, Lotus', Lamborghinis, Astons, Porsches, ACs, Caterhams, Westfields, Healeys and of course Bristols etc. and it is hoped that a few of the rare and special TVRs will take pride of place on the day for all to see.

The Neil Garner TVR Open Day can be found at the Kemble Business Park (Google maps -SN16 9SH) on the A429 Wiltshire / Gloucestershire border. This will be held on Easter Saturday – April 7th 2012. Doors open at 10am and close at 4pm.

For further info you can contact either Neil on 01666 577449 or Paul Stallard on 07715 770244

Also now confirmed besides D&C Trim are Surface and Design - Both coming from Blackpool for the Easter Saturday event in the Cotswolds - a very rare occasion to get ex TVR workers to show off their work in the South West - So if you are thinking of enhancing your TVR with expert knowledge and live in this 'part of the world' they will be at the event to answer all of your needs. Just add your name to the long list!
