The car I am about to buy has a knocking noise coming from the near side suspension over sharp bumps.

I have been told that it's the exhaust heating up the bushes or something.
Is this common? can it be fixed?

Probably the rear toe link joint, probably best to get it replaced just remember to check the rear toe after its been done.

Same with mine in the summer. This could be the bushes at the rear needing grease. Could be wrong, but worth a look at your next service.

Here you go smae problem further down the list.

It could be this:
Tuesday 29th June
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rear toe link inned balljoints . . . they knock on many cars when they get hot . . . it's just the grease in the balljoint getting thin with the heat, usually nothing to worry about . . . presuming that's what it is . . . won't do it when the car is cold, or in winter probably . . .
