Just read the article about France making carrying breathalysers compulsory. What if there was a designated day every month that was well publicised and drink driving was allowed? Surely it would be fair on all the other none drink drivers who get around 30 days a month safe driving to allow those who wish to drive while slightly drunk to have a day on the roads, we do live in a fair, tolerant society after all and it would do wonders for the rural pub trade. I'm talking a similar attitude to Germanys view on speeding, ie its OK to have 5 pints over a few hours and drive home but not to have 15 pints of Stella, unless it was just round the corner, officer!

I've never seen a more ridiculous idea.

Sure, let's have one day every month where the risk of dying either as driver, passenger or pedestrian is vastly increased.

Oh and don't let the police do anything about it.

Why dont we have a day where a eurofighter drops a 2000lb bomb entirely at random from 37000 feet anywhere it likes.

I'm not condoning it, just seeing what the feedback is! There are lots of other stupid suggestions on here so thought I'd think of another one!

Feedback tends to indicate that it is a ridiculous idea

Additionally, if you're actually from Croston as your name suggests then there's no need to drink drive anyway. 6 pubs all within stumbling distance of each other wink

My cousin was hit and killed by a drink driver when she was 17.

So no, I don't think thats a good idea.
