just reading autocar this week and in the news on p10 it says that the tories want the national audit office to investigate the regional safety camera partnerships running britains speed camera's. they claim that scameras are raising money rather than saving lives!!

could be opportunism or could be genuine?
wonder what our steve would have to say about that?

its difficult to find a good alternative though. my current faves are perth, aus (with their dismal attidude to motorists) or BC, canada (with similar probs, but at least you can get an x acre plot for buttons and build a good life for yourself as opposed to mortgaging your kids for a 1 bed flat above a kebab shop....).
god do i sound bitter! to be fair though, i just want to build a good home for myself and my future family. i just cant see that happening where i live.
