Back cat go by, twice?
Discussion
Im sure I posted this, I remember tapping it out on the keyboard but cant find the post. Appologies if it turns up elsewhere in the PH matrix.
When buying a vehicle for cash, its probably a good idea to have a signed form saying "Im me, buying said car from he, date, reg, sign sign, shake, done"
Does anyone have, per chance, one of these forms with everything I need to check covered. My mates are saying its necessary (I'll agree to that). Anyone know where I can download a good form from

I did have one, but can't find it now...
You just need a type written form stating somewhere, the vehicle type and registration, the amount of cash changing hands and some sort of checklist as the various things are handed over:
V5 ownership document (relevant bits filled in/detached),
Service history,
MOT certificate/s,
Keys (including spares).
Alarm/immobiliser fobs (including spares),
Locking wheelnut keys,
Alarm/immobiliser certificates (often need for insurance),
Large wad of bills,
Owners handbook
(plus anything else you can think of).
This should then be signed and dated by both parties at the bottom somewhere.
It's worth taking two copies, one for you and one for the seller in case he wants a copy.
