Oh yes, I love that album! I don't think there is a bad track on it, which is weird because I don't really rate anything else they did. I know the album before, the one with Vapour Trail on, is generally considered better but being too young at the time in retrospect it is a bit too muddy and shoegazey for me. Going Blank Again was their accomplished peak for me. After that the songwriting dipped massively with generally poor lyrics and annoying songs on Carnival of Light.
I don't know what happened to Andy Bell though. Capable of writing a good track and a great guitarist (I still think 'Step Into My World' by Hurricane #1 is a really good and underrated track), but he was happy to sit back and be the bassist in Oasis for years and not do much on the songwriting front.

Reform RIDE..and do a Going Blank Tour

RIDE are one of my all time favourite bands. Unlike the previous posts, Knowwhere, is by far my favourite album, and I love the earlier EP's too.
I remember buying Going Blank Again when it first came out, and was disappointed when I first heard it. It took me a while to appreciate it, but I did learn too!
I would love them to reform, having never seen them live.

.... I think Decay & Taste both approach perfection and Paralysed is even better. PS. Is it possible to play Paralysed too loud ??
