My drivers side door has decided to stop working from either inside or outside the car and the window isn't dropping down. Not sure if the solenoid is the problem but can hear a clicking noise coming from the window/door unit in the boot.
Any ideas gratefully received.....

Theres a little magnet somewhere at the bottom of the door that tells it it shut/open. This can cause problems if the alignment is out. Not sure if it would cause you symptoms but should be easy to test with a magnet ie open door use magnet to fool sensor in thinking dor is shut then press button on mirror.

I'm sure its been mentioned before on here try the forum search. I'd do it but I've had so much beer I'm having trouble pselling at the moment

The magnet makes contact with a limit switch on the bottom of the door. The magnet is in the door frame, and may be sprayed over with paint.

Also, try cleaning the connectors inside the door. See the other thread today.

Also, try unplugging the door reset box in the boot on top of the tank.(pull the leads of 4 a few seconds, and reconnect)
