Diesel Owners & Turbo's
Discussion
Is it just me or do a lot of diesel owners who think there genuine car people seem to feel the need to make a big deal about the fact that they have a turbo. Ive lost count of the number of people lately who say they have a 2litre turbo. But forget to mention the fact it's diesel. Why do they feel the need to make such a fuss out of it?
Surely it cant be just me? Or is it?

I used to have a NA Cavalier 1.7 diesel. Even though it was (very very) slow, I quite liked it, it felt very free to rev unlike the TDIs.
ETA: not sure why I even posted that, bit of a "cool story bro".
It is a bit of a shame when people have discussions and all you get is stupid comments like "cool story bro" and the "great" face plam picture some clever individual has posted above - Shame we do not all have time time to read all threads ever posted on the internet!ETA: not sure why I even posted that, bit of a "cool story bro".

i tell people i drive a diesel land rover, and that it out accelerates milk floats and cars turning right
I don't even mention which model. in fact I am more likely to mention that its 14 years old (still looks lovely to me
)
the wife's car is described as a hot hatch nothing more. i don't see the point to more description, i like to stay a bit annony-mouse.
