What is the best type of high temp silicone sealer to use for edging of the heat insulators on inner wing, clutch fluid inspection cover, etc? Thanks Derek

Around the clutch cover (and master cylinder in the wing) I used Sikaflex.
Its a bit like silicone but specifically for body joints and used on caravans and motor homes etc.
I paid about £7.00 per tube (delivered) from a well known online auction site.;)

I use a very low modulous, so it makes easy work of removing and re fitting .saves hours trying to remove the old silicone..

EVO STICK Black low mod silicone from your local builders merchant..

This is another one of siliconekids simple mods..

I can remove the cover and rub off the silicone in seconds and never had a leak, trouble with high mod and sikaflex is you will be trying to clean the area up for hours before before re sealing..

Gripfill worked for me.
