I'm doing my head in trying to get simple info regarding seat harnesses. Why don't advertisers, from Demon Tweeks down to the dodgy American suppliers give the bloody adjustable length of both shoulder and lap straps?
We run a Fisher Fury in hill Climb and Sprint events. Bro. is rather shorter & "rounder" than me. We just moved the seat forward ( now fixed ) to allow us both to get foot on to a rather heavy, long travel clutch pedal.
Now, Bro can just get the existing Luke harness to fit, I find that by the time he's adjusted the lap straps to fit his expansive gut, it means that the buckle is up where I would expect to recieve CPR.
Problem with the harness is that the lap straps are adjusted by having to remove the fixing bolts, pulling the straps through the attached buckles and then re fixing the anchorage. Well, apart from the difficulty of trying to remove attachment bolts from under seat sides and the time this all takes, we would not be making ourselves popular by taking so long to do a driver change.
Looking for a 4 point bolt in system with shoulder harnesses adjustable from about 32" to 36" and lap straps adjustable from 12" to 16".
So far I've had absolutely no connstructive help from any supplier. Are adjustable lengths a bloody secret?

I have a similar requirement.
I use a Stylus for sprints & hillclimbs sharing with the wife. We always have a fight adjusting the belts for each other.
As we may do some racing this year (an idol idea not likly to happen) we would need a MSA dated & approved belt. The best type seem to be what are known as Westfield style. These have adjusters on the lap belts that pull from the buckle, making adjustment easier. Also use ally adjusters, as they run far easier than the conventional type.
Try TSS, as they will custom make to your requirements. They have a form that covers most options so you can probably get exatly what your after.

Yeah, thanks. Can't find a TSS on Google doing belts, but anyway if strap length / adjustment isn't mentioned in advertising, how do we know that these companies are'nt ripping us off for something which may already satisfy the requirement? I really find it difficult to comprehend why min / max strap lengths aren't given. For such a safety oriented item I feel that information such as recommended adjusted lengths and fitments are overlooked in favour of fatuous copywriter drivel on the "eye candy" pics and minimal info.I use a Stylus for sprints & hillclimbs sharing with the wife.
