Gearbox rebuild - Ayrshire/Glasgow

Hi all,

Looking for a reputable gearbox builder in central Scotland, Ayrshire/Glasgow area if possible, looking for recommendations from satisfied customers if possible rather than what google would throw up.

Posting on behalf of a friend who has a Mazda 323 GTR gearbox that requires a rebuild, a very uncommon car so need someone who really knows what they are doing, although I'm sure to a specialist they are all the same inside!

Gearbox specialist in Falkirk who rebuilt my sunny gti-r gearbox.
i'm sure they are called A.S.K. transmission, but if they're not let me know and i will dig out all the info for you. They are located just up from the roundabout at Benny T's fish/chip shop.

Couple of answers in a thread I started a while back, including the one mentioned above.

I ended up going down a different route so don't have any personal recommendation to make.

Worth at least a call or visit as very helpful, though I ended up scrapping my car when the box gave up the ghost.

Neil engineering in glengarnock are pretty good

Think his is garage and gearboxes if my time at Vauxhall serves me right.
