Ok, so I'm thinking of replacing my E36 M3 Cab this year. I'm torn between two cars though...

Z3M roadster, it would be nice to still have an //M car, I've driven a few z3s, not really impressed but I guess the Z3M is a different kettle of fish?

Or a Z4 3.0, not going to be as quick as either but newer and nicer interior etc.

Any comments, info, experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'd go for the Z4; however good the engine in the Z3M is, the chassis is just a bit... rubbish.

The Z3M coupe, on the other hand...

i'd pick the Z4 easily, and you should be able to pick up a good one for about £10-12k

Z3M coupe would be my choice as they are holding their value, are fast and rare. I think they will increase in value over the next few years.

If that's not a concern Z4

Really? This would be the ideal but I've found nothing tidy for less than £15-16k frown

Another thing, I know the coupes of both drive better but it HAS to be roofless.
Thanks

You're not looking very hard... certainly found it depressing last month when one almost identical to mine went for about 14.

Although prices do start creeping back up a bit as the days get longer.... and it does depend on what you mean by "tidy"

Just so you know, the Z4 in the picture is a Z4M...

You can easily get a z4M roadster for that money. When I was looking before christmas I was tempted by one in a local dealer. 22000 miles full BMW SH only £13990!
