Sorry for the poor picture, but spotted in Oxfordshire today, no reg plate, only marking was a script on the side which I could not read in time before the lights changed. Any ideas?

Good question. The lack of a plate suggests to me could be an rebodied special.

Either the owner is mad or the vehicle does not require a plate.

I have seen modified invalid carriages of the sort that run on pavements rebodied as fun cars etc.

But the wheels look too big to me.

Could be a motorbike/scooter based special but that would require registration.

Very interesting. No idea really. But I look forward to the answer. If it comes.

After a bit of google image search, it is indeed a recumbent, electrically assisted, Ocean Cycles Challenger!

We live and learn. I would be surprised if this company trade for long.

It is a velomobile, no idea if you should be riding one on the road though.

If it is essentially an electrically assisted bicycle with limited power then ir would not be registered to be used on the road.

The suggestion of rapid acceleration suggests unregulated power. Not legal.

But like cars owners bend the rules.
