AFAIK there are no major issues to be concerned with...
The handbrake is of a similar design to the Disco but other than just making sure it works, I wouldn't be concerned. Just make sure all of the toys work and idealy, a service history.
The TDV8 is bomb proof and at that mileage, it is barely run in!!!

A friend of mine had the electronic hand brake fail on his 2006 RRS SC - was told by the garage that it was a common fault that they often saw on RRS'.
Having said that, we never had any problems with it on my wife's 2008 RRS TDV8, which we had for 3 years, so guess just check it works when you buy, and have some cash / warranty standing by to pay out for anything serious going wrong.

My 2007 35000 mile TDV8 has just failed its 2nd MOT.... " nearside inner rear brake pipe excessively corroded". Booked in for 2 days as the Body has to be removed from the Chassis to replace the Brake Pipe! £800 labour! They reccomend that they do the other side at the same time as the part only costs £15!. Glad I had extended Warranty. Also fluid suspension unit leaking.
Our 2010 FF TDV8 has been faultless until last month when the dash lit up like a xmas tree and it ground to a halt.
Alternator had failed with no warning lights and battery had discharged.
Warranty covered it otherwise would have been an £800 bill.
Other than that issue I can't fault the car it has been a pleasure to own from new.

Body off to replace a brake pipe? Yikes! That would make me angry....I've read that the Hand brake needs a clean out with an air line on a regular basis to stop crud collecting and writing it off.
Worth listening out for any clunks from the suspension and steering. They are big heavy cars and are heavy on bushes and other suspension components. People say look for full history on these cars, but stamps in a book won't tell you if they have had any suspension components replaced!

I think your being had my friend.My 04 D3, so same basic car underneigh has had it's brake lines replaced.
2 hours by my mobile indy, on my driveway.
I would be seriously questioning the reason for lifting the body as it's doable without lifting it.
The old pipes off mine are in the garage, about to get chucked in the local recycling centre.
OP, listen for knocks, the front lower wishbones are known for the ball joints and bushes to go. Buy new wishbones and bolts to sort it out.
ARB bushes can go, if you know how to hold a few basic tools, there is a guide on how to do it yourself. Bushes are about £80 from LR, always ask for discount. I get min 10% off.
I would get the autobox flushed, £300 or so. ZF recommend it gets a flush every 75-100k.
I've had my 2007 model Vogue SE for about 6 months now, 118K miles on the clock.
Seems the standard list is:
EGR valve(s?)
Injectors
Turbo hoses
Alternator
Battery
All of which mine has now had replaced, the valve and injectors by the previous owner, and the turbo hoses, alternator and battery since I bought it.
Turbo hoses were £96 fitted, and the alternator (plus gearbox fluid top up and new rear discs) came in at £500 all in. It makes sense to find a good specialist quickly!
Battery was £129 and I fitted it myself.
Other than it's been front discs and pads which I bought and fitted myself for about £90 all in.
Other than that, nothing of note, I was getting a lot of Tyre Pressure monitoring errors before the alternator went, but I assume that was related to the alternator as they've been perfect since it was replaced.
Have to admit it's left me stranded twice now, once when the alternator gave out and once when the battery was too low. First car to have done that to me for as long as I can remember.
Make sure and join a breakdown service!
